In the last few years, plush toys with their own websites have become quite the fad - Shining Stars Plush Toys
Russ Berrie beats them all with his new creation. He's teamed up with the International Star Registry (an organization allowing someone to name their own star and have the name published) and is offering children the opportunity to name their own star and receive a picture of it, as well as a map showing it's place in the galaxy!
How do children do this? That's where the plush toys come in. When a child becomes the owner of one of these adorable plush pets he or she can then register their own name (or name of their choosing) for the star.
And it doesn't stop there - the plush pet in itself has many great features. Children can access the pet's own virtual world at ShiningStars.com, where they can choose the personality for the pet and receive new "glow points" for the new pet which allow access to hidden areas of the site.
